My concept for this site was to make a layout that possibly showed
the pencil from a different perspective (literally) or use different
elements of the pencil to showcase its attributes and information.

| In this layout, I tried to show the back half of the pencil and use it as the content area. I attempted to make the eraser be the content space and show it at a close up perspective. | In this layout, I placed the pencils vertically and also ended up using them as the area where the header title would be placed. | In this layout, I used pencil marks as the content box and also tried to show the title in a "pencil drawn" typeface. |
The design I chose was the one with the eraser as the content area.
I chose this one because I felt it was the most interesting and I thought
the layout would keep the viewer's attention in the case the subject
of a pencil wasn't enough to keep them interested.

The changes I made to this layout were the tightening up of the pencil drawing,
and a change to the location of the navigation. Along with this, I edited the colors
on the pencil slightly to make it look a little more realistic.
